a comprehensive and unique course on hacking repeating patterns in family history
How do the phantoms of our ancestors haunt us? What draws us to their unresolved traumas? Does knowing this history facilitate healing? This course opens up these questions with a dynamic approach.
Transgenerational transmission may begin during fetal life as a result of maternal stress exposure, leaving a profound impact through time and space. Parents with a trauma background may “pass on” their maladaptive patterns or behaviors to their children, either directly or indirectly. The undigested traumatic experiences, also inherited, are displaced from inside to outside, and projected into the external world. As a result, the painful experience of being threatened becomes established and becomes a mental reality. The trauma is not visible, yet it is still present and active.
OVERVIEW: Together, we will explore the intriguing world of family systems, including typical dynamics, roles, bonds and cognitive schemes. We will also learn how to professionally draw and interpret a Genogram, facilitating access to memories, insights and history re-framing. Guided exercises and a review of case studies will provide insight on how to develop resilience and good coping skills while dealing with trauma. Through innovative techniques such as psychodrama and schema therapy, we will address the root causes of TGT and help break the cycle of suffering for future generations.
